Is the Club suitable for beginners?

Hi Alex
Yes, the clubs purpose is primarliy a place where photography enthusiasts, of any expereince level, can get together and learn and share their work with each other. There are workshops regularly which are “training” sessions so to speak. Such as portrait photography, table top, using photoshop etc.
Plus you are free to ask questions or have discussion with any memeber.
Also every club evening we submit pictures which get judged to see how they perform. The judges do provide usefil feedback during judging but also give a little 10-20 min talk about their style of photography and tips and tricks. Sometimes it nature photographers and sometimes land scape or even print specialists.
So every club evening usually has some insights, but in general you also get a great view and ideas from all the images shown.
I hope that helps, please let us know if you need more info. The calendar for 2012 will be up soon, but the first meeting will be the 4th Wednesday for Jan 2012.
Kind Regards
Andrew
