| Zonderwater Italian pow cemetery | Historic interest. It is enclosed by walls and you can park anywhere under the trees. Gates should be open by 6.30 as the prisoners set up the chairs/ sound system etc. The official ceremony with dignitaries starts at 10.00. There is also an interesting little museum on site with items made by the POW’s. There is usually a fly past and they usually have parachutists (weather permitting). There are no R515 (about 3-5 Km I think) and there are a million coffee shops, eateries etc. It also has lovely shots of oldish houses with the flowering jacarandas (they should be flowering by then).
